The browser window in Firefox, IE, Chrome, and many others can be split into multiple areas.  This can be very useful if you want to quickly compare two Websites, Webpages, search results (i.e., from both Google and Yahoo),  write while referencing something else in another window, or perform side-by-side comparisons of products without switching tabs.

Let's look into a real life situation such as an email reply through a webmail application.  When you must reply to a long email, you must  read the email, scroll down, type your message, read again, and so on.   Using a Split Browser Window can make reading an email simpler.  You just split your Inbox into 2 Horizontal windows and type your reply while reading the email in the lower or upper window.

Consider this - Do you want to watch a video but skip the uninteresting portions.  How? Let the video load in a split side by side browser window and continue browsing on the same tab.

A Split Browser is also ideal for comparing online images, documents, spreadsheets or charts. You can even compare Google-Analytics reports basically, all at once!

According to PC World,  4 side-by-side windows was good enough to display on a 17-inch display.  I agree with that, but I added only one more to make it into 5 windows and 1-3 other control panels that you can easily slide them out of the screen if you want to.  Yes, I am talking about using only one monitor to split tabs into more windows.  However, now even though it can get expensive, you could get multiple monitors to display multiple browser tabs.  I do use this method myself so I can have tons of windows to work in at once.  What with the new apps on phones, and mobile devices, those windows are small and consumers are used to it, so this will be really cool and wow, on a standard PC no less! - that you already own.

Using Remote Split  Browser you get many different window arrangements with sliding borders.  With Cloud Front-End you get up to 10 different input boxes for your urls, and search terms to create links and their target windows.

As a developer maybe you want to redesign or speed up a Website.  Track the changes as they happen, while you are editing the page.  When you want to make necessary changes to your source code, and see a series of results, you should not have to switch to different tabs.  Splitting browser window remotely and using Cloud Front-End Panel, you can see multiple different results in the same tab.

After typing one of our important page URL within the input box in TMR (Temporary Monitoring & Research) Panel or Cloud Front-End Panel, I selected the target window and then clicked "Create/Change Links" button.  Then I  clicked one of created links called Page-speed and got a report of what I should do to improve the download speed of that page.  I corrected the code, changed the target window to #2 and clicked "Create/Change Links" button again.  I clicked Page-speed once more and recieved another report within window #2.  Compared it with the report in the window #1.  I repeated this process for window #4, #3 and video window.  Finally I was very happy with download speed of  0.35 seconds in Video window vs. 1.51 seconds in window #1.
